The VAMA organizes an annual national convention to allow Vietnamese physicians, dentists and pharmacists an opportunity to share our unique Vietnamese heritage with colleagues in the health field. In addition, the convention allows the participants an opportunity to take numerous CME courses to stay current with today's health issues.
For 2012, the VAMA National Convention will be held in Orland, Florida at the Marriott World Center from August 3 - 5, 2012. From August 5-12,2012, the VAMA CME cruise on board the "Allure of the Seas" ship will take off for an educational adventure to the East Carribean islands. More information coming soon!!!

THE 2012 VAMA NATIONAL CONVENTION
August 3-12, 2012 - Orlando, Florida
Through the years, the VAMA convention has been hosted at cities such as Washington, D.C.; Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; San Jose, California; and Boston, Massachusetts. In particular, the VAMA convention hosted in Houston, Texas include the first Vietnamese American Congressman Joseph Anh Cao as the Keynote Speaker.
In 2011, VAMA collaborated with the 7th International Convention of Vietnamese Physicians, Dentists, and Pharmacists of the Free World, to host the convention on August 11-14, 2011 in Toronto, Canada. The social gatherings and CME offerings are great benefits to the VAMA members. The VAMA is committed to fostering a better local and global community by supporting programs such as:
- the World Health Ambassador Program, a volunteer base medical and dental mission to serve the underprivileged communities
- the Community based Hepatitis Screening Programs
- the Regional Hosting Program
- the Medical Student Scholarship Programs.
